Just in case my previous comment doesn’t work, b/c too many links and pictures, here are some partially, and gradually more, cryptic clues to the next thing-s:

Thing 5 is made by Andrew Jordon,
Thing 6 is based on John Campbell,
Thing 7 is also thing 181,
Thing 8 has a question mark, and an arizona connection
Thing 10 is what I hate about Joseph GordonLevitt
