Inventors Tom and Jerry
Some of you know that I’ve been working on an ongoing photography project about inventors. Recently I began experimenting with video to supplement the photos, and I’m pretty pleased with how it’s going. I set up a couple web pages showcasing two particular inventors to show some people in my photography world what I’ve been doing, and I thought I’d share with all of you, too. These inventors are named Tom and Jerry, and you can click the images below to see more about them.
Incidentally, if you or someone you know is an inventor, please get in touch about possible participation in this project. I think I’m heading to Northern California next, so I’m particularly interested in inventors in that area.

Eeee! When I click on a photo to see it bigger, the video stays on top.

This is such a great project, David. Are you shooting video with the new 5D? I am so jealous, if so. Can’t wait to see more work!

i really enjoyed both videos. you have a great eye. love the formal frames. love the textures. by isolating the men in their environments, you’ve given them a mythic quality. can’t wait to see more.

I came here looking at the google voice for iPhone post and found your photography and videos. I can say without a doubt that I was blown away. The inventor profiles are amazing and the video is a great addition. I’d urge you to continue … I know I’ll be back. Thanks for your work!

nicely done!
To fix the issue that Michael pointed out you need to set the parameter “wmode” to “transparent,” either in a param tag or in the embed tag for the flash object.
