Photos from the Galapagos Islands

By now you may have seen my 60 Second Videos from the Galapagos Islands. As promised, here is a sample of photos from the trip. The rectangular photos were shot by me, and the beautiful ethereal square photos were shot by Ellen. I think several of her photos, which she shot with a $23 Holga camera, are far more beautiful than mine, which I shot with equipment that cost a hell of a lot more. You can see more of both our photos in slide-show form here.

Ooh! Very nice! Especially the waved albatross pair, looking a lot more dignified here than in that courtship dance.

Really enjoyed your posts on your Galapagos trip; that picture of the iguana is great! What inspired you to go there, btw?

Wow, lovely - great you can get so close to things. And yes, soon the whole world will have moved over to the tao of holga. Onwards, my (fuzzy) pretties!

I am both envious and appreciative. Nice of you to share these.

I stumbled over here from, um, I can’t even remember where. BEAUTIFUL pics, both of you!

i have to say, the galapagos are the absolutely most fabulous place on earth, don’t you agree?

Hi guys
nice selection ! Nothing can beat the iguana-like point of view of Elle’s camera ;), hehehe. Me … still working on my pictures.

Luis (from the Beluga team :)

Those are great pictures, but the rocks look so bleak. Life on the Galapagos must be pretty rough.

BEAUTIFUL photos. It sounds like you had a great trip!

I love your blog by the way, one of my favorites!
